Founded in 2008, Inmates to Entrepreneurs educates inmates on how to start productive, low-capital service businesses upon their release from prison.
The mission of the organization is to reduce recidivism among former inmates while growing the number of successful small businesses in the region.
The Inmates to Entrepreneurs program was specifically created to help individuals through the inherent challenges of reintegrating into society and the workforce. By providing a combination of educational seminars on entrepreneurship and one-on-one mentoring, Inmates to Entrepreneurs prepares offenders and ex-offenders to start their own businesses.
