  1. How much does the program cost? The program is free to all current and former inmates and correctional institutions.
  2. Are you in any other states besides North Carolina? Right now, no. We are expanding into all fifty states in 2013 when we are a true 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
  3. Do you help people who are not offenders? No, we do not. Although we don’t like to neglect other entrepreneurs, we must stay focused on our mission.
  4. Do you provide funding? We do not provide funding. We push to start low-cost, start up businesses. We have had businesses started with as little as $25 in pocket. Once you have a business plan in place, there may be resources available from other organizations, to which we can direct you.
  5. What are the qualifications for participating in the program? There are no qualifications other than having a criminal history.
  6. How can I help? Please call 855.664.6628 or email aj.ware@inmatestoentrepreneurs.org. We are always looking for new mentors and volunteers.
  7. Do you help federal and state felons? Yes.
  8. Do you provide housing? No.
  9. I was not in prison; I was on probation. Will you help me? Yes. You still have a strike on your record.
  10. Do you do job placement? No. This is an entrepreneurial program to help start new businesses.
